Fresh Flower Care Guide

How to get the best out of your new British seasonal blooms

Use a clean vase.

Flowers can get stressed in transit, so we recommend popping your flowers into a clean and bacterial free vessel with fresh water as soon as you can, this will prolong their lifespan.

Leave them tied to keep Bryonia’s arrangement intact, or you can undo to have a play around and spread out over multiple smaller vases.

Keep away from heat & bright light.

Make sure the flowers are kept in a cooler environment, away from windows, radiators and other warm spots.

Also it’s best to keep your blooms away from any fresh fruit and vegetables, as they don’t like being too close together.

Life Span.

All fresh flowers life spans will vary depending on type of bloom and the aftercare so we cannot guarantee an exact amount of time.

Please keep following our aftercare guide, be gentle with them and we hope you get plenty of enjoyment from your beautiful blooms.

Fresh Water.

If you wouldn’t want to drink the water, your flowers won’t either.

The best thing to do is aim to get them immediately into some room temperature water, then freshen this up every 1-2 days, especially if it’s looking murky or cloudy. Make sure to remove any leaves from below the water line as these can harbour bacteria.

We don’t personally use chemicals, but you can add flower food if you prefer.

Snip Snip.

Your blooms will need constant small trims of their stems. So give them all a small snip at an angle whenever you’re freshening up their water, this is to ensure they can get a good drink.

Otherwise you might start to notice them getting thirsty, drooping and going floppy very quickly.
