My Year as a Freelance Florist

The year has absolutely flown by and I’ve been freelancing my little socks off!

I took a step back from Bryonia’s own creative briefs this year to allow me to travel with flowers and build my experience internationally. Firstly, I spent around five months in New Zealand right at the start of the year, hanging out with some lovely growers and florists there, then heading back to the NW to freelance for some good friends, before going down to the SW to make some new ones on some exciting jobs across Bath, Bristol, Somerset and The Cotswolds.

I wanted to make sure I found some time to document some my favourite adventures of the year, as I’ve enjoyed every second of spending time with these incredible & talented people, and I’ve visually documented so many of these incredible floral creations.

Please note that all of the following images are of someone else’s creative brief, clients and materials, purely assisted by me whilst spending time as part of their team. All creative rights for these arrangements belong to those mentioned and credited.

If you are a wedding or event florist from across the UK or further afield and are looking for some help next season, please do email me to check my availability at hello@bryoniaflowers.co.uk. I’m open to travelling with flowers and working further afield, so please do get in touch if you need some support and would like to chat.
