Autumn Workshop at Erda Botanicals

This weekend, my good friend & flower pal Becky from Erda Botanicals hosted some of my family in her home for an intimate workshop. We organised this workshop as a thank you gift and I was blown away by the day, so wanted to document the experience within my journal.

‘Wild Windowsills’ is playful, natural and expressive, where everyone is encouraged to experiment with flowers, plants & found natural objects, and the process of creating is just as important as the end result. Becky grew all the materials we used herself, and she also collected some extra delights on the morning of the workshop, from the top of Warton Crag where she has foraging rights.

Calming and peaceful, with a side of coffee and homemade lemon drizzle cake. Sometimes when working as a florist full time, it’s nice to just take the time play, and remove the responsibility of organising or preparing the materials, to simply just get your hands stuck into nature with friends and family.

Some of my images from the day, including our materials, pottering around Becky’s garden, Wilma the pooch, and the process of creating are stored here:

I’d encourage anyone needing some peace to get in touch with Erda Botanicals, either for details on this workshop, or attending something similar.

Thanks again Becky and Wilma!
